Samantha King

Sam is a change practitioner, organisational development (OD) consultant and executive coach. She has over 19 years experience in a global energy company, operating in manufacturing, functions & executive environments. She has participated in major restructuring, JV, divestment , diversity and inclusion projects.

As a business transformation/OD consultant, Sam co-creates integrated plans with executive leadership teams to deliver overall sustained behavioural change. She has designed and facilitated both small and large scale interventions, and coached leaders for executive meetings (working with groups of 30 – 500).

As a cross cultural expert, Sam has worked with many cultures, in Europe and Asia and has recent significant experience in Russia, where she was responsible for the talent management and cultural preparation of 250 executive leaders to work in Russia’s first 50:50 JV (TNK-BP), a business of 90,000 employees in a highly challenging political environment.

Sam style is to combine her creative energy, deep trust building with insightful perception, taking a whole systemic approach . Sam works both collectively with the team and the individuals in the team, exploring the real drivers for change and success, encouraging open challenge, and highlighting future options. She creates a safe space for real dialogue, focusing on practical behaviours, authentic leadership and the power of collective intelligence.

Sam has a BA Hons in Psychology, specialising in Organisational Behaviour, is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development and sits on the Editorial Board of CIPD's “Coaching at Work”. She is currently completing her Ashridge accreditation in executive coaching. Sam has a good working knowledge of German, French and Italian.
